- The revised 2nd Edition of The Baby Name Wizard has a due date: July 7, in a bookstore near you! (Confusingly, Amazon and BN.com already have the 2nd edition cover image up -- it has an extra pink circle -- and don't seem to distinguish between the two editions. I'll see what I can do about that.)
- Don't forget to enter the Baby Name Pool contest! Just 5 naming days to go.

Friends of mine have named their newborn son Swithin- now, that's not one I see taking off in the near future, but it's definitely interesting!

I have a couple questions about the second edition:
1. is it completely rewritten, or is it mostly just an update of the popularity stats?
2. is the binding of the book going to be better or is that something you have any control over? I am on my second BNW and it's basically loose papers in a loose cover. (The first one fell apart and was later ruined by my husband)
Yay! I'm so excited that the book will be available before my due date (July 24).
I can't wait! I used your book to name my twin girls (Ada and Aleah) three years ago and little sister Willa 15 months ago. We're planning on adding another in the next year or so, so a new book would be great. As a side note- I used the index a LOT, and have noticed that some of the page numbers are a page off.
I am too late for that Baby Name Pool contest but I am very interested on the issue. I am about to be a mother in two months and I haven't come with a baby name yet. My pregnancy is right on schedule and I don't want to know the sex of my baby. I would really like to take a look on those book editions, do they come with name significance or etymology?
