our son is named Dominic, everyone was against the name when we decided and everyone has fallen in love with it and him.. he is a smarta** for sure and a very well rounded child, we always call him Dom or by his full name, a friend of mine has a Dominic as well and his nickname is Nikko.
I also have a Dominic born in early 90s when people still didn't know how to pronounce it. He is in his early 20s now and loves his name. It emanates confidence.
