Personal experiences with the name Ambrose: | Edit

Don't do it! I went to school with a poor kid named Ambrose and he was constantly called Amber Rose. It got so bad that he eventually switched schools and went by his middle name, Scott.

We love this name, it is a classic. Often a last name now though. We have never had anyone tease our now teen about this name, generally people think it's cool. We also live in a very diverse town though, where there are many unique names from all over the world, so it has never seemed the odd one out. Sure beats a "run of the mill name!"
