This name to me seems due for a comeback: it's short and simple with clear vowels, hefty but not macho-sounding, indisputably male, and offers an alternative to the -n ending of so many contemporary favorites for boys.
Because of the song "Amos Moses," it sounds like someone who is independent, determined, legendary, and mysterious. I am not religious, but because of the bible connection it sounds like someone who is caring and a leader, not the Amos in the the song.- Personal experiences with the name Amos: | Edit
