Comments and insights on the name Artemis: | Edit

Personally my name is Artemis. My parents are both Greek, and I’m a boy, there is a common misconception that Artemis is a female name because the goddess was obviously a female. However in this day in age in Greece it is more commonly used as a male name, for Artemis is the goddess of the hunt. In Greece if you name your baby Artemis it will almost always be a boy, to ensure the child grows up to provide, Hunt, and overall be strong.

I think the name is unisex. please name your child Artemis if you like the name don’t be put off because it is a goddess’ name. And if you like the name, name your baby girl it

/A boy without a name. Depending on your story Artemis was married to Hades and Persphone his sister was Athena. He'd taken his wife's name to his when he was dead to the world and hadn't had one anyway, but hers was eternal alive, you say. A boy who likes girls and isn't not one. Seemingly impossible to wear on a man, you think? A BOYs' name, for a girl.
It also means the god of Ireland for a boy. Ireland the goddess is the daughter of Cupid and her nameless boyfriend.
