Personal experiences with the name Bernard: | Edit

This is my grandfather's name. He gets very annoyed when people pronounce it Ber-nard instead of Ber-nerd, which happens to him all the time. Swears up and down Ber-nerd is the correct pronunciation.

My surname is Bernard, and everyone in my family pronounces it ber-NAHRD. I think it sounds much better this way.

I like Ber-NAHRD for a last name.

Bernard is my grampa's name too. He likes to be called "Bernie", "Uncle Bern", or "Bern". :)
