Comments and insights on the name Bernhard: | Edit

My son is named Bernhard, and his nickname is Bear. Bernhard is an old family name, and we were a little nervous to introduce our son as Bernhard/Bear (especially my husband!), but the feedback has actually been great! People love his name, and it's exceptionally memorable. Among the scores of standard boy names, he stands out beautifully. If you're considering the name, go for it! Your child will not hate you, and other parents will not give you the side eye. We love it!
