- Personal experiences with the name Brandon: | Edit
My son Brandon was born in 1995. there were 4 Brandons in his kindergarten class..we have an unusual last name and wanted him to have a "normal" first name. His middle name is "Lee" after my husbands best friend, but i have learned this is a common pairing. He is a smart and outgoing kid and actually loves his name, as much as I wanted a Logan or Angus (yes we considered both) im pleased with my choice and he is a "Brandon" ie popular and intelligent
A friend of mine told how years ago he was really embarrassed; a co-worker & his wife had a baby boy, and when they brought the baby in to show him off at the workplace, my friend told them "Well, I hope you didn't give him one of those yuppie names like Brandon!" The room was dead silence. He asked them "Well, what IS the baby's name?" and they said "Brandon." He was really embarrassed and had to apologize to them. Although he laughs about it today, and to hear him tell it, it's pretty funny!
All the Brandons I know were born to unwed mothers. I don't know a single Brandon whose parents are married!
