Comments and insights on the name Caeden: | Edit

In 1993 I searched books for a unique name for my son (no internet then). I came across "Caedemon", a Gaelic hero who saved the town from dragons with the use of his magical hounds. I wanted a unique name, but not one that was difficult to pronounce, so I trimmed off a syllable and got "Caeden". He is 17, about to turn 18 in a couple of months and says he really likes his name and hasn't had trouble with it.

Personal experiences with the name Caeden: | Edit

My son is named Caeden. He is now 21 years old. When we were expecting, my husband and I discussed the attributes we wanted a boy's name to possess. Some of them were related to our family backgrounds some to our personal interests. As a musician, my husband loved the word cadence. I wanted something that sounded Celtic. We liked the sound of the name Caleb, but it seemed too Nordic. So I added a French spelling and changed it to Caeden. We found out years later that Caden (with different spelling) was already a name which came from Celtic roots. This made us even happier that it was the name we chose for our son. Better than that it is a name that suits him. He's comfortable and happy with the name. Since I never cared for my own name, I feel a sense of personal success having given him the name Caeden.
