Comments and insights on the name Connor: | Edit

My son is a Connor and he likes his name. There are three Connors in his Boy Scout troop and they go by big, little and medium Connor or last names. His name is misspelled all the time by teachers, relatives and friends. He corrects it and jokes around about being rich if he got paid a dollar for every time he had to correct people. It is a great name for boys

Personal experiences with the name Connor: | Edit

Unfortunately, there are several ways to spell this name and people are constantly misspelling my son's name by using "er" at the end (which is more typical of the surname spelling) rather than "or."

My classmate's name was Connor, and whenever I see the name I can't help but get stuck on the image of his bright blue eyes and amazing smile. He was murdered February 2009. It's a strong, emotional name for me, and what I will name my first son.

I named my son Connor. It was funny because at first I was going for something way more "out there" but idk Connor just felt like the right fit. And it is. It's a very classic name. One of those names most people have heard of but still stands out, which I think makes it the perfect mix of everything. No regrets.
