Origin of the name Cosmo:
From the Greek Kosmas, which is derived from kosmos (order, beauty). The name was borne by the brother of Damianos, both of whom were martyred in 303 under Diocletian. A cult around about them, spreading westward and receiving much attention when the brothers' relics were supposedly found in Milan by St. Ambrose.
