A great friend of mine's name is Elias. Before meeting him, I never knew anyone else with this name. In fact -- I'd never heard it before! He's a really nice guy, with a really sweet personality. I love him a lot. He's also dating one of my best friends! They're going to have a baby soon. :) :') I just really love my friend Elias. He's a really great guy, I can't stress it enough. Ten million thumbs up to this great name! =)

My great-grand father was named Elias, he came over from Greece in the early 1900s. I've always thought this name would be a great way to honor my Greek heritage.

My maternal grandfather name is Elias as well as my maternal uncle, paternal uncle, maternal cousin, paternal cousin, paternal great-uncle they are Mexican of European descent.

My mom wanted to name my baby brother Elias, but, because of his father, we ended up tagging it behind "Victor" to get "Victor-Elias". My mom is still toying with the idea of just changing the name completely to "Elias" due to how much she dislikes when everyone drops the "Elias" part, and just calls my baby brother "Victor". I love the name Elias. Everyone calls my baby brother "Eli".
