I'm due #2 in June and if I have a boy I'd like to call him Finn but our surname is Egan so it will look like "finnegan". my husband is totally thrown off by this.is there any other names that sound or look similar or should we just go ahead and call him Finn??

I'm not sure when this was written, so maybe you've had your son by now, but you could call him Finley and have Finn as a nickname?

I am strangely in the same boat with names. We are planning to go with Finbarr and call him Finn, since we also have the surname Egan.

There is nothing wrong with "Finnegan", in fact, you should name him "Finnegan Egan" just to mess with your husband.
