We named our 2 year old Graydan and LOVE IT! It's unique, but fits into the current trend of names. He's sure to be the only Graydan in his class, but won't get teased either.
- Personal experiences with the name Grayden: | Edit
Love it b/c it is a unique name with a strong tone. I am not a fan of nicknames but do like the fact that if its shortened, it would be Gray or Grayd....both I dont mind. We definitely wanted a name that ONLY reflected a male- Im not a fan of gender neutral names...We wanted a name that was unique and has personality....it encompasses both!
In my case, I was so upset with the "name calling" growing up in elementary school, junior high, and high school...I could not wait to have my name legally changed as soon as I turned 18. Being called "Gay-Den" just took too much of a toll for 13 years of school (K-12). It was daily torture. So I wanted to totally rid myself of the name before I started college. It was a hard time to get all my records changed (school records, medical records, drivers license, social security card). It was a very emasculating time in my life.
I am a Grayden, my grandfather was a Gradyen and my son is a Grayden. In my mind the name is professional and polished while being unique. I get many compliments. Never had any negative experiences

Grayd, Gray, G, G-unit, Grady, I just named my baby Grayden and my daughter has nicknamed him "Gravy"!
I was called "Gay-Den" from kindergarten through high school graduation. When I turned 18 and could legally change my name on my own as a "legal adult" I filed for a legal name change.
