Greydon is a variant of the old english name Grayson.
When naming our son we really loved the name Grady but wanted it more as a nickname so when we found Greydon we instantly fell in love with it. When researching the name we found out that it was a very common name back in the civil war era. Several searches also list its meaning with the name Grady meaning "born to be eminent"

Personal experiences with the name Greydon: | Edit

We always get comments about our sons name. When people hear it they love it and always ask if he was named after a great grandparent. It is very unique but also has a nice old fashioned ring to it. We get a lot of compliments and it has so many nicknames which is great. Only down side is at first many people think we say Bradon. So we say Greydon with a "G".
