Comments and insights on the name Keaton: | Edit

My 15 year old son is called keaton, never heard of anyone called it before and have loads of compliments. 4 other people in my village have named their sons after my keaton. Some people even thought id named im after Buster Keaton as my pet name for my son was Buster.

I have An 11year old called keaton and we have never come across another child with this name. We are in Scotland and I love it.

My year old son is called Keaton live in the uk think it's a cool name to call your child and suits most surnames

My youngest is Keaton (born 2011), it was one of the only boys name we agreed upon! We stumbled upon it in the Baby Name Wizard book and instantly knew that this would be it! Keaton James, ironically we came across a school-aged boy with the exact same first and middle name before our Keaton was born. There is no shortage of nicknames; Keats, Key, Keat, Keaters, Keatie, he's called any number of names! We have received many compliments on his name, and it suits our little guy perfectly. Personally, I think the nickname Keats has a very literary sound to it-and as an aspiring writer, I am quite in love with it!

I gave my son the name Keaton 30 years ago. We live in Texas. It has nothing to do with Alex P. Keaton....I loved Michael Keaton. When my son was little I met a woman who was expecting and upon hearing my son's name said she loved it and asked if she could name her child that. I said sure. Later, I ran into her and she told me that she did indeed name her son Keaton. When she told me his middle name, Forbes, I laughed and said, "That is my son's last name" All she said was ,"I was wondering how I came up with that" And laughed.
I would like to think with that a trend was started. But probably not. But I had never met heard the name used before as a first name. Now, I am hearing more now but everyone has been younger than my son.

I have to comment here and wish I could meet the above mom's (from Texas). My son was born in 2011 and we named him Keaton. If he was a girl his middle name would have been Frances after my grandmother. Because he was a boy though we used my grandmothers last name - FORBES. His name is also Keaton Forbes (first, middle). I love it.

Personal experiences with the name Keaton: | Edit

Oddly, there are FOUR Keatons in the second grade at my son's school (Texas). I can only assume it has something to do with Alex P. Keaton.
