African name given to my son at birth. . South American Indian name( also written Coya, or Qolla as spelled by the indian people in opposition to the Spanish conquerer). Koya was the wife of the Inca (king-priest) of the empire of the same name. The Koya co-governed the empire (as opposed to the European queen who had a more passive role).
The Inca empire spoke Quechua (Koya is a Quechua name) wich is still spoken by some 10 millions natives in South America mostly Peru, Bolivia, and Paraguay).
Also the name of a mont with spiritural value and is located south of Kyoto, Japan
