Personal experiences with the name Kyron: | Edit

This is my son's name (born 1995) who was ALSO going to be named just Ky but my husband remembered a guy he played sports with in high school who was called Kyron and in an instant we said "Oh yeah, Kyron is way cooler". We pronounce it like Byron but with a K (short sound on the "O", more like Ky-rin instead of Ky-ron) It's often mispronounced as Keiran or Karen which is funny because we are from Oregon which is pronounced like Ory-gin and often mispronounced Ory-GONE. I've never seen it in a baby name book and this is the first time I've found it on a baby name website. I've found many different meanings from different cultures with this name spelled other ways (GREEK = Chiron, SANSKRIT/HINDU = Kiran, CELTIC = Keiran) Either way it's a strong, handsome and unique name and it takes a special guy to be able to own it. My son gets compliments on his name all the time. It's different, but not crazy different... just different enough for people to take notice and say, "Oooo Kyron, I like that!"

This is an interesting story sounds very similar to what I heard my friend named his son Kyron for. By the way my name is Kyron and I was shot in 1995 during my hospital stay my old friend Kareem was in the same hospital I was but he waiting for his son to be born. Very touching story to me.If you are my friends wife tell him that I am honored thank you both

this is my 7yr old sons name who was going to be just ky then ronald james for my grandad who was ronald short ron so we used his shortned name and added them together KY-RON it suits him and i havent heard it yet apart from kyrow

I am 34 years old. My mother is from Aruba. That is where she got the name.

I am 16. My little brother has the name Kyron. My whole family has weird and wonderfull names. In fact the site doesn't have mine. My bro's name comes from a greek legend Chiron as I wrote below.

My husband's name is Kyron. He is 32 and we live in Australia. He is often frustrated that he has to repeat his name several times whenever he introduces himself. Even then, people often call him Kieran. For a while he called himself 'Ron' at work to try and make things easier but then another guy named Ron started working with him so it didn't stick. I just call him Ky and I like that he has a cool name.

Nicknames for Kyron: | Edit
