Marcel: Meaning, Popularity, Origin of Baby Name Marcel

Marcel

Pronunciation: mar-SEHL (key)

Origin of the name Marcel:

I'm belgian and my granddad was called Marcel. He died some time ago, and I think I will give my son the same name. In France and Belgium, old names are coming back. Jules, Thérèse, Marcel, Marie, Louis or Victor. It's "modern" again!
