This was my Grandpa's name. His full name was Noble Samuel.
This is my sons first name. We call him by his middle name but his legal first name is Noble. I think it is a very strong and solid name. It has character. When my son gets older he can decide which name he likes better...I don't think he can go wrong with either. And in fact a lot of our friends call him by both. Any parent to be, if you are going to have a son...I would strongly consider Noble.
I know two Nobles. One was a lab partner in college (he seemed to be of east Indian or Pakistani descent) and one is my brother-in-law (Caucasian). While the name has grown on me, it bothers me because Noble is not usually a noun, but an adjective. Calling a person an adjective as their name is weird to me. The name does get my BIL lots of attention, though, and he pulls it off well.
