We named our son Nolan (2012). Lots of positive feedback so far! It's extremely important to us that our children's names are not common and we haven't met another Nolan. One or two people have told us if extended family members with the same name but not the same age.
We had our Nolan in 2012 as well. The positive comments are usually along the lines of "That's a different name, and nice!" which is exactly our thinking when we chose it. It's uncommon, yet not "weird". It is starting to experience a boost in popularity, presumably because it's such a nice name. ;)
