The Perigrine falcon lives on high cliffs (and, in the city, skyscrapers.) They were highly endangered by DDT weakening their eggs but are making a small-scale comeback. Birds of prey, they are majestic and graceful in flight.
Peregrine is from a Latin word meaning 'Pilgrim'.
