My husband's name is Peter and I've always thought it to be very strong, handsome and sophisticated.

Separate personal experience:
My friend's name is Peter and he is the best person ever! Peter is such an adorable, cute, lovable, sweet, dreamy name.Because obviously she and I are both describing the name, not the person.
But seriously folks, name your kid Peter. Or if they're a girl opt for the female version: Petrina.

My little brother's name is Peter. He's 12. People call him all sorts of stuff: Pete, Petey, PJ (?), etc. I also know a bunch of kids from school named Peter as well. It's a pretty cool name I guess, and my brother likes it because it's hard to misunderstand and easy to spell. Name your kid Peter, it's a pretty cool name. :)
