Comments and insights on the name Ryan: | Edit

Ryan is a handsome, very attractive name for a baby boy. Pronounced Rie-en.

Aryn and Ryan are anagrams of each other; they contain the same letters.

Our second son is called Ryan. We love it for him. It suits him very well as I see it as a strong manly name but also soft and sweet maybe because of the an on the end.

Honestly most Ryans I've met are the perfect humans

Personal experiences with the name Ryan: | Edit

Met one on a rainy day. He said "Hey", then flew away... Changed my entire perspective on life

I named my first born Ryan. He will be 18 soon. I always knew I loved the name, and despite the popularity of it, he never had anyone in his class with that name. Also, I most recently found out that my origin, I'm mostly Irish and had no idea why I was always fascinated with Ireland. My Ryan is fun loving, sensitive, can be shy at times, but has always been outgoing. His brothers name is Ethan. I still love the name ever since I first heard it as a kid Ryan O'Neil, is the first Ryan I ever knew. For those that don't know he was married to Farrah Fawcett back in the day. My son had this silver bowl I used to feed him Mac n cheese in that we called his King bowl. I do also like Ryann for a girl spelled with 2 n's.♥

Kingly, that explains why the Ryan I know is so pushy, protective, possessive and demanding. But he is so intelligent and wise, but often tragically loveless, his 3 ex's died. He is quite impressive in music and a versatile young choir master. "Ryan's" are usually the most passionate and delicate in terms of relationship. At least that's what I know of my friends.

My twin brother and best friend is named Ryan Alexander. He goes by both names and pronounces Ryan as Ree-on. My name is Rosanna, and I think they go nicely together. There is also a Mathilde, Félix, Madeleine, and Nathaniel. I think all the names go well and I love the name Ryan!

A good friend of mine is named Ryan. He's a pretty great guy! Very likeable. Also really strange... he has a peculiar obsession with elephants. I love him. :)

When I think of the name "Ryan," a cute guy always pops into my head. It's simply a "cute-boy" name!

It's a popular name in the 20-30 set, but I've never met an unattractive guy named Ryan.

I have four children. My second child (a premmie) & second son I named "Ryan" (1990). I liked the meaning, "Little King" & "The Laughing". What is so interesting is that he turned out to be both. Out of all my children, he is the most out-going, always laughing, & even his siblings referred to him as "the king of the kids". He grew up to be the most athletic and the tallest of my children (despite his rocky start in life, which he seemed to just shake off & continued to grow into a strong, healthy baby), is very good looking, & very succesful in athletics & school. The girls also seem to gravitate toward him and he is quite a social butterfly. He seems to fit his name very well (or his name fits him?). He is also a very caring person & has a wonderful personality, just an incredibly well-rounded young man.

My little brother is a Ryan. He's one of the most caring people I know(even if he trys to act like he doesn't care).

My 8 year old son's middle name is Ryan. I was reading a book while I was pregnant and the woman's name in the book was Ryan, and that's how I chose it. I love the name and think it is a great male name. I've noticed that recently it has become a popular girls name as well. I know someone whose 3 y/o daughter's middle name is Ryann. I guess it's cute for either, but I always think male when I hear Ryan (even though I chose it from a female character with the name). And I agree with the poster that said she thinks of 'cute guy' when she hears the name. All the Ryan's I have known have been cute guys too. Including my little Ryan :)

My son's name is Ryan Joseph. He's a very sweet and sensitive little guy.

Known many Ryans over the years. Nicest people ever

Our second son is called Ryan. We love it for him. It suits him very well as I see it as a strong manly name but also soft and sweet maybe because of the an on the end.
