Comments and insights on the name Scott: | Edit

my sons name is Scott. His middle name is Andrew. We named him scot after our scottish heritage. Born late seventies. Always called Scott. Never had trouble with spelling but some people would ask if it was his last name.never met any Scots in Australia but met lots when visiting Scotland. His siblings name is james daniel.

Scott's a fine name, but it has it's drawbacks. There are no famous Scotts, so most people will forget your name. They'll often call you Steve or Seth. The other drawback is that it sounds like a lot of other things like stop or what (kind of).
