My husband and I decided to name our first son Silas. We love the story of Paul and Silas in the Bible-- how they continue to have joy and worship God through the hardest of circumstances, which is what we hope for our son. Silas also means "forrest" and my husband's middle name is Forrest. It's not common, but it's not a "made-up" name. We think it's perfect for our son!
