A male name, definitely not female. Pronounced Spen-sir.
I love the name Spencer for a boy, not much a fan of it for a girl.
I am a girl, and named Spencer, and I happen to think it's good for both genders. (Although it is a bit better for boys...)
- Personal experiences with the name Spencer: | Edit
When I was really little I used to say swencer or sencer when talking about my older brother Spencer because I couldn't pronounce the P. ^_^
My son's name is Spencer. I love it and he is really proud of his name. It is a strong yet sweet name. We call him Spence for short.
My big brother's name is Spencer. It's a really sweet name and fits him very well. We call him Spen for short. Love this name :)
My older brother's name is Spencer. He's always been very mean to me. He absolutely hates being called "Spence". He also hates any form of affection.
My Name is Spencer and My Dad named me after Spencer for Hire an old tv show, and when I was young My aunt always called me by my name but I always said no my name is Dabeencer and by looking back at that I get a few laughs out all the time. I think my name is a name that means Strong; Loving; Determined, and Dependable!!
I love the name Spencer, mostly because it's my own, and think it is a unisex name, mostly because my best friend who is bigender (or identifies as both genders) changed their name to this, and never gets any odd looks, or anything like in the past(Lexie= not as unisex). I am personally a guy, and was born with this name, and always loved it. It suits both of us very well, and I couldn't be happier. ^-^
