PROS: This is a relatively unique name. When one calls it out in a crowd of children there aren't 15 boys answering. CONS: This may be the worst of all names when it comes to teasing nicknames! - Personal experiences with the name Tucker: | Edit
I love the name Tucker. It's the name of one of my younger brothers (born in 1993). It's really original and I have only met one other guy named Tucker in a college class. My brother is down to earth and has a good sense of humor, which I think the name fits.
My younger cousin is named Tucker. He is down to earth and very sweet and caring, always thinking of others before himself. Don't tell any of my other cousins, but he's my favorite. :)

- Meanings and history of the name Tucker: | Edit
Traditionally an Anglo-Saxon surname that originated as an occupational name. Tuckers were associated with the preparation of cloth and clothing, and with the old English verb "tūcian" ("to torment") which was part of the process of softening cloth. Additionally there is some precedent for a connection with the Gaelic O'Tuachair, used to identify a descendant (historically male) of "the brave one." This is similar to the French sobriquet "tout-coeur" ("all heart").
