My father has this as his first name. Very unique. He said that his mom named him after a hollywood actor from their time period. One kid used to call him wallace, Ballace, elephant to make fun of him in school. I've never heard of anyone else having it as their first name until watching Wallace and Gromit. It seems more as a middle or last namey people right now. He likes that it's unique, and alot of people call him wally.
