We named our son Zephyr (born 2011) and have had no regrets, we never even considered another name. However some people do have trouble pronouncing it and because our last name is ethnic (Polish) I think many people who see his name think he is not American, which I am okay with. It is beautiful and unique and fits him well.

Zephyr Wright, African-American personal chef to Lyndon B. Johnson at the White House and at the LBJ Ranch. Developed Pedernales River Chili. Famous for her White House hash and for trying to keep LBJ on a diet. She also influenced LBJ greatly on the matter of civil rights, as when she traveled with the First Family in the South, she could not use the same restaurants and rest rooms. When Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 into law, Zephyr was there. Johnson motioned to her, gave her the pen that he used to sign the bill. He said, "You deserve this more than anybody else."
