Personal experiences with the name Allyn: | Edit

I am often called Allie by others but I don't use it unless people just call me Allie. I just give up and go with the flow. I was a licenced private detective for 27 years. I was told that I was the first woman licenced in Rhode Island. I was drafted into the Army when I graduated from high school. Some of my clients never knew that I was a woman until their case was closed. Some companies that I worked for said that they would not have hired me had they known that I was a woman! But they were very glad they did because no one looked at me, a pretty blonde, and thought DETECTIVE. Looks are deceiving and being a woman certainly helped me when working under cover!
