This is my name only I spell it Ammorett. Everyone calls me Rett for short. I have never met another Ammorett. My Mom said it means little love and she first saw it in a turn of the century name book at a free library in New York. That's where I was born, in New York off Lake Ontario.

This name seems to have been first used by Edmund Spenser for a character in his late sixteenth-century poem The Faerie Queene. Spenser occasionally refers to Amoret as Amoretta in the poem.

Some Italian King gave the name to his daughter way back when. It means little love.
