Personal experiences with the name Annabeth: | Edit

My name is Annabeth and for a few years I really hated my name. I got called Annabelle all the time even if someone had my name in front of them, but other than that I've grown to really like my name. I have never met another Annabeth and that's a really special and unique experience.

I love the name Annabeth. In fact, when I first found out I was having a girl, I was convinced I would name her Annabeth. Most unfortunately, I decided to read Percy Jackson during those nine months and I couldn´t stand Annabeth. I tried so hard to, but she was so prissy and annoying I couldn´t name my kid that. Now I´m do in a week and have no name ideas. Thanks, Annabeth (Wise Girl) Chase! :/

Hi! I'm another Annabeth. I have had a lot of people make fun of me in my lifetime. First, I didn't even know Annabeth was a famous name until I read the Percy Jackson series. I'm actually very smart, and I liked that my name was connected to a child of Athena. I also like Greek myths, and it was very fascinating to learn about Athena. I think I would've liked to be Annabeth Chase. I am called 'Chase' often now and my friends like to tease me that my perfect guy is going to end up being someone named Percy.
Also, when they came out with the movie 'Annabelle' about the creepy doll, people started calling me Annabelle and acted terrified of me. This made me very mad and I had to resist the urge to act like Annabelle, at least somewhat like her.
I have never met another person named Annabeth (thank goodness) and I hope I never will. When I am not being teased about it, I like my name. It is mostly unique, and most people don't even know what I'm saying. I say, "My name's Annabeth" and they say, "Oh, hi Annabelle." They can't get my name right, but I feel proud that at least they have never heard of my name before.
