My name is Annalise and I'm 18 years old. My mum named me after her best friend. When I was in high school I found out that nobody could pronounce my name, some people even called me "analysis". At university there is a girl named Anneliese and everyone can pronounce that correctly for some reason. I absolutely love my name and I wouldn't change it for the world.
My name is Annalise and I absolutely love it. It is a name that is unique yet combined from two more familiar names, Anna and Lisa. At school there are so many Lucys and Emmas, I find it empowering to have a name that not everyone has. The only problem I have with it is that it is constantly misspelled.
My best friend is Annalise Rose, and she goes by Anna. She is amazing. She's an amazing artist, smart, pretty, kind, plays basketball and flute and is just pure awesome. Anyone who has this name is lucky.
My name is Annalise and I love it. I can not think of any name that could better fit me. I always get compliments on it! My only problem is that people always misspell it, like Analise, Annalice, or Annailce. Also, once someone pronounced it like (ahn-ah-lize). But I love it.

History: "Anna" is a varient of the Hebrew name "Hannah" meaning "grace." In the Bible, Hannah was mother of the prophet Samuel. Being barren, she asked God to bless her with a child, and her prayer was answered. Hence, the name can be thought to mean "God has graced me with a son." She thought herself incapable of having children until husband Zechariah was visited by the angel Gabriel, who told him his wife would have a son who "will be great in the sight of the Lord!" Soon, John the Baptist, was born. John the Baptist was cousin to Jesus Christ.
