My wife and I were doing fieldwork in southern Mongolia and one of the team members was named 'Oyuna'. We always heard it as 'Ayuna' and thought it was a beautiful name for a girl. This was a decade before we decided to have a child. When we had a girl, there was no doubt what her name would be.
