As a kid I got a lot of teasing in school concerning my name. It was worse in High School. Comments like "Melts in your mouth, not in your hand", "I have a sweet tooth", "Are you as sweet as your name?". As an adult, many people wanting to call me Candace rather than Candy. I think it's funny that they feel the need to change it.
