During the 6th century, a story of her life was written and she was henceforth venerated as a martyr. She is regarded as the patron saint of musicians.

I love my name and always will. I don't mind it at all even though it means "Blind". What I really like about it is the backstory. As you can see from the origin/meaning, it was created by a Christian woman living in the Travestere section of Rome in the 3rd century. She was also a patron saint for musicians! (I play the guitar, piano, recorder, and bowed psaltery!
