I love this name and this is definitely a name which I can see myself using! I love how fresh and fun Clover sounds and it would be very unlikely for your daughter to have another Clover in her class. I first heard the name from What Katy Did and as I think Clover comes across as such a kind, fun and playful character in the book, I think it would be nice to be associated with her. I also like how it can be adapted at different stages of life... Coco for younger years (which I love as it sounds boho and chic) and maybe Cloe if she wanted a fresh start or was starting at a new job!
- Personal experiences with the name Clover: | Edit
My daughter's name is Clover and she loves it. Just prior to having her we had spent four years living in Sydney where the mayor's name is Clover, so we were familiar with the name. And early on in my pregnancy, between a doctor's visit and an ultrasound, where I was told to expect to confirm that I had miscarried, I found a pressed four-leaf Clover in a used book (no joke). I did not miscarry and my daughter is 9 now and whip-smart, athletic, a self-starter, assertive, and very pretty...the name Clover suits all of these traits.
This is my middle name, and I've always loved it. I used to think that if I ever became famous, I would start using it as my main name.
This is my daughter's middle name because I consider her my lucky clover. I have frequently found four leaf covers all my life, but never have I been so lucky as when I plucked her up!
This is my daughter's first name, though she's often called CJ (middle name is Jane). It's pretty and simple but unique. I like that it's not overly feminine like a lot of flower names.
