Comments and insights on the name Darlene: | Edit

A few years ago I read a book by Judy Blume in which the main character's grandmother's name was Darlene. That was the first time I thought of Darlene being a grandmother's name - even tho I'm in the grandmother age now - I still can't think of names in my age group being grandmother's names, I still think of grandmothers having names like Gertrude, Mildred, etc.
