I love my name, it's not common with girls which is nice. You do have the occasional idiot that tells you "that's a boy's name" or asks if your parents were "hoping for a boy" but I've had many more people tell me they love my name. I wouldn't change my name for the world, I've always loved it and have enjoyed teaching the occasional idiot some manners over the years.
well if you have an evil teacher they call you county hense the nickname

Devon is the name of a beautiful county in the Southwest of England, also known as Devonshire. The name may mean "defender", and refer to the Celtic inhabitants who defended the area from Anglo-Saxon invaders during the dark ages. While some parents may chose to vary the spelling of the Irish "Devin" to Devon, while retaining the Gaelic meaning of "poet", the original meaning of Devon is unrelated.
It is a nice but annoying name for anyone who has it (ME)
