I have only found this name in one baby book. I was looking at the name "Evalene" and noticed it in the paragraph above "Evalie". I thought it was cute, girly, and different, but not too weird. Pronounced like "Emily with a "v" insead of an "m". We decided to spell the "lie" part "Leigh" after my mother's middle name. "Eva-Leigh".

Most people think it's a beautiful name, though it can be difficult for some people to pronounce at first. If the spelling "Leigh" didn't have a personal meaning to us we probably would have spelled it "Evalee or Evalie". Though I think "Leigh" is very elegant looking, and always thought it was a more common, feminine spelling.
