Personal experiences with the name Hilary: | Edit

I'm a Hilary born in the late 70's. I have absolutely loved having an uncommon name. Two beefs though... First, I have been misremembered as "Heather" more times than I can count. I think that's changing now, probably because of Hillary Clinton, Hilary Duff, Hillary Swank... People have heard of the name now! Second, people always misspell my name with two L's. Even when I spell it out, people still write it with two L's! Also, when Bill Clinton was president, I heard a lot of jokes when introducing myself ("How's Bill?"). But overall, I think it is a great name, and luckily, I am a fan of Hillary Clinton, so I don't mind the name association there.
