A co-worker was telling her pregnant friend about my daughter's name, Hollis. The friend ended up naming her twin girls Hollis and Addison. Maybe this name will catch on?

My own two kids are named Holland and Hollis. They love their names which are unique and spunky. Hollis is a great name not only as a child but also as an adult.

I grew up as a Hollis and I hated it. I always wanted to be a Jennifer or a Melissa. I went by Holly my whole life, but now I introduce myself as Hollis. I like it now, it's unique! It's a name people will remember because they've never heard it before.

My name is also Hollace (sounds the same). I go by holly. But I met another girl in college named Hollis too. Its sophisticated, old-fashioned, and it sounds beautiful. You don't see it very much. But, I love my name.
