I love my name. It is so pretty to see and say. It is also memorable...people like to discuss it and then they always remember it. I never met anyone American who had this name and it is not really common in Vietnam!

This is my first name. I chose it out of thousands! My "birth name" was Janet and that seemed SO boring!

It is already pretty short...though longer than Ed. My best friends are allowed to call me Huey or Hooey.

The English meaning of the name Hue is a shade of color, i.e., a hue of green. I use this pronunciation.
The Vietnamese meaning of the name Hue (pronounced HWAY) is lily.
Unfortunately, the phrase "hue and cry" means a loud uproarious noise, which kind of stinks. Fortunately, only a few people seem to know this phrase!
