Personal experiences with the name Izabett: | Edit

When searching for a strong and unusual name for my only child (daughter) I came across the name Izabetta. I thought Izabetta would never be pronounced correctly by the current populace so I shortened it to Izabett. Very quickly I came to find that people either 'heard' the name Elizabeth or Lizbeth and I/we were forever correcting the pronunciation, eventually if it was a one time meeting we just let it be and didn't correct them. Over time my daughter has used the nickname Izy quite a bit, but now as a young adult she seems to prefer Izabett. I either call her Iz or Izabett, I never did cotton to Izy. She has turned out to be a beautiful, smart and strong female, so I really did choose the right name for her.
