- Comments and insights on the name Janine: | Edit
My name is Janine and I never really liked it, although I'm getting used to it because it is very unique were I live. But people tend to mispronounce and misspell it a lot, which is just annoying.
My name is Janine too and I like it okay, though it does have a "plain" sound to it. People misspell it all sorts of annoying ways, like Jenine, Genene, Janeen, and misread/mispronounce it as Jannie, Janie, Jeanie, Jennie, Jannin (rhymes with Shannon)... very annoying. It's not like it's the most obscure name, but no one seems to get it right.
- Personal experiences with the name Janine: | Edit
I always get comments on how unique and beautiful my name is. I love my name!
My sister is called Janine and we often shorten it to Nina, as it's such a cute name and really easy for the little kids in the family to say.
It is amazing how often her name has been mis-spelled over the years!!! Some people pronounce it J-neen, some JANine and some JaNEEN. I know two Janine's who both prefer for it to be pronounced JANeen.
