My daughter's name is Jaya. It was a name her dad came up with as an extension of his name... We did not know it meant "Victorious One" until one of the Indian Dr's at the hospital told us. It fits her well because at the time he told us the meaning of her name was right after she had just came through her 2nd brain surgery. My babe had a very rough 1st year, yet she is well and wonderful now, she pulled through it all (5 surgeries in just her 1st year of life).... Victoriously!!

I have a daughter named Jaya who is 21 months old. I spoke to a doctor about the name. She told me that her sister-in-law had the name of Jaya. I did look on the Internet. I know that it means victory and princess Parvotti. I fell in love with the name.
