I named my daughter Jazmyn in 1994 and came up with this spelling because of the nickname. We wanted to call her Jaz or Jazzy so we took the name Jasmine and altered it. I didn't like how it looked, so I added the "Y" and got rid of the "E" at the end. Most people like how nice it looks written in cursive. But it is becoming a very popular name, just spelled differently. Jazmyn's biggest issue with her name is it's never spelled "right." Also, we can never find anything with her name on it, for example keychains, jewelry, souvenirs, etc.. they always have to be custom made. We don't mind, but she certainly does! Other than that, she loves her name and gets complimented on the spelling regularly.
