My name is Jillene, and I love my name! I am a 19-year-old female, and the only thing I dislike about my name is that people always mispronounce it when they read it. They ALWAYS say "Jillian" for some reason. I pronounce my name as "Jil-leeeen". I have met one person with the same name; she was an older lady, and she spelled hers "Gilene". My middle name is Elaine. I actually just go by Jill, though. :)
- Personal experiences with the name Jillene: | Edit
Jillene Ringle, now deceased, was a performer who wrote and performed one-woman shows in Pittsburgh and (I think) at the Delaware shore. She was great! I learned the phrase "back in the day" from one of her shows, and the shows were about growing up in a close-knit neighborhood. She addressed the audience directly after a song, saying "Do you have any idea how much fun it is being me?" She died quickly of cancer about five years ago. I miss her.
