We "invented" this name by combining the childs grandmonthers names: KAY & NAncy (Kayna). After extensive web searches we have found that it is listed as an Irish / Cornish word meaning "A saints name".
My daughter is named Kayna because I found it in my midwife's book of names coming from egypt meaning "intelligence and wisdom" I beleive that every child is unique so their names should be unique and so that name stood out to me and I love that my daughter has a name not many have.

It is my name, and I grew up thinking I was only person who had the name Kayna. lol. I never come across anyone with my name and i found it amazing how many people have the name now. It's funny, everytime i see the name kayna and a profile with a person with it, they are always younger then me. Maybe I started a fad? or my mother. My grandma's name was Keyna.. and my mom changed the e to an a and decided she liked Kayna better. :)

My name is Kayna as well. I have always loved my name. I'm a waitress, and people always say something about my name being pretty or different.

I'm at school, and I am called Kayna. Even my best friends STILL spell it wrong! I absolutely love my name, and I've only ever known 1 girl called Kayna in person. My father's family background were from Cornwall and we visit the little village "Saint Keyne" in Cornwall sometimes. I have a few photos of me standing next to it too (: It is so embarrasing in events or school competitions, I have to spell my name out haha! I love having an unusual name though - it makes me feel special, and unique :) xx

my full name is irita kayna. but people used to call me kayna. because it suits me more. in my country i thought i was the only one named kayna, but i was wrong...haha. the name becomes really familiar r8 now... hope to find another 'kayna' sooner...:)
